Would you take the cure?

One last quick post before bed! We saw X-Men: The Last Stand today...first matinee of the day! Was REALLY good - and I'm so glad I didn't read any of the reviews BEFORE we went to see it. Yes, the negative views DO make some valid points, but I think those folks forgot they were going to see a movie where people can shoot beams from their eyes, grow claws from their hands, and control the weather... (I even kept a positive attitude with the three kids crawling in and out of their chairs next to me and talking through most of the movie!)

Don't take it TOO serious people! Enjoy! We sure did - and I plan to write more about it in the next few days...

We enjoyed it a bunch as well - went to see a late afternoon show up in Evanston. I agree, plenty for fanboys to quibble with, but I am SO not sorry to see Cyclops dead and gone early in the film. I rather liked Kitty, and Kelsey Grammer as Beast worked for me quite well. Besides, I love picking out the BC landscape and landmarks: Hatley Castle as the X-Mansion, the Sheraton Wall Centre as the glass tower Angel escapes from.

One unfortunate thing: we sat in the theatre right where we could put our feet on the railing. Below that were chairs and space for users with disabilities/wheelchairs. One small group came in - about 3 young adults with mental and physical challenges and their helpers. They sat in front of us, and the 3 young people made, well, noises at various times. No big deal. What was bitterly ironic was to hear others in the theatre yelling out a few time for them to shut up. Hmmm, weren't we watching a film that had themes of tolerance and acceptance?

Oh shoot, forgot to add:

Ben Foster was nicely placed eye candy who desesrved better use. But your image of Wolverine goes to show which actor I really go to see!

LOL

Had to look up Ben Foster - yes, Angel!! Although I'm finding I preferred him more in some of the stills and only a few of the scenes in the movie. Other times I found him to be a bit...odd looking? Like he looked like maybe he'd been doing drugs or soemthing? I don't know...can't quite put my finger on it. But some of the guys were talking about he played a particularly creepy character on Six Feet Under, which I guess he was really well cast for!?
