Here's the view from my window right now, as taken with my cell phone camera. Sure, the quality could be better, but you get the idea (the smudges between the window panes don't help). About fifteen minutes ago a band really started rocking out under the big tent in the left of the picture. This sort of stuff is great for the students - but not so great for all us web programmers along this side of the building...
Maybe I'll just head out after lunch. I think there's only two of us in the entire dept today!

Black Squirrel Festival?
Black is the color of our squirrels in Kent, OH. Yes, black.
The story is that someone brought them down from Canada (I think?) years ago - just four of them I believe? Anyhow, apparently the more aggressive black squirrels have a waaaaay more dominant gene - and now a good portion of the squirrels in the Kent-and-surrounding-areas are black! They're quite feisty - you'll see them chasing the gray squirrels (and their fellow black squirrels) all over the place.
