Dinner Time

Look what just came out of the oven - and it should be cool enough to eat now. From this month's Cooking Light magazine (yeah, this is recipe #3 in one week from the magazine!) - beef pot pie, and there's a cheat - it uses one of those tubes of ready made bread sticks (first time I've ever bought 'em - we'll see how they turn out)

Sure - I'll have to post that recipe real soon for ya! THanks for checking in - how'd you find the site?

Ginger - Brett declared it a little too salty (I agree - my fault), and it had too many mushrooms (no matter how small I chop 'em, he still doesn't like 'em). We both agreed the breadsticks were underdone on the bottom side - surprising since the filling was so hot when I put them down on it, and they seemed perfectly baked. Oh well - better luck next time!

I just LOVE mushrooms! I wonder why Peter and Brett don't...

Hey, let's be clear: I don't like most mushrooms. I had a dinner last night, though, where I willingly and happily ate chanterelles. Morels are delicious as well. Button mushrooms? Revoltingly rubbery little things. Portobellos? Overgrown button mushrooms. Shitakes? Shi-- I shan't go there.
