How're you feeling right now?

Biiiiiiig thanks to Cindy for the link to this image - from this article... If the pic above doesn't have you laughing your ass off, maybe you've already taken your Prozac and killed all your emotions?

RIP

Heath Ledger, 1979-2008

I have to say I've enjoyed Heath Ledger in every movie I've seen him in....while maybe The Brother's Grimm wasn't my favorite movie, I really enjoyed 10 Things I Hate About You, A Knight's Tale and Brokeback Mountain. And while I worried this version of the Joker diverged too much from what I think of as "classical Joker", I still looked forward to see Heath's take on the Batman villain in this summer's The Dark Knight.

RIP Heath...

Shoot me with your love (arrow)...

My new boyfriend, Justine Hartely, who we haven't seen awhile, shown here...

...or perhaps more recognizable in his green garb here as Green Arrow on last season's Smallville...

...has a new girlfriend! :( Well, ok, actually, Oliver Queen/Green Arrow has the girlfriend. Following comic book mythos, Green Arrow will apparently be meeting Dinah Lance/The Black Canary on an episode of Smallville coming up real soon (in the next few weeks I believe?).

Never heard of this Alaina Huffman chick, but she looks like she could pull off the sassiness that is Black Canary - so long as they stick a blonde wig on her!

And here's a fun little Fred Hembeck strip featuring the two. Fred Hembeck often had comic book related comic strips in the DC comics of yesteryear - they were great!

Dozens in Texas town report seeing UFO - Space- msnbc.com

Nothing cool EVER happens HERE!

Dozens in Texas town report seeing UFO - Space- msnbc.com: "Dozens in Texas town report seeing UFO"

PS - Computer at home is still down, and rather than use Brett's computer or take home the laptop from work, I'm giving myself some "downtime" from the computers...working on holiday clean up, moving stuff to the basement for the year, catching up on a little reading, knitting, etc... Less computer time means I'm also way behind on reading others' blogs, responding to comments on here (hi Black Swamp Girl! I'd seen your blog before actually - howdy neighbor!), etc... Hope all's well out there with the rest of you!

You spin me right round baby, right round like a record baby

Ok, I know I'm waaaaaaaaaaay behind on posts, both promised ones from the holidays, and more recent stuff. I'll get to it shortly - promise! In the meantime, this one's for Sharon, who I just found out yesterday NEVER watched this classic show. This one clip has so many twirl sequences from all the different seasons of the show - from the WWII episodes to the "modern era" (aka the 70s).

Oh man - that made me DIIIIIIIIZZY watching all of that. I LOVE the swimsuit one! Why didn't they show the skater chick or cowgirl costumes!?

PS: I don't remember any specific from the starting sequences episode, but there's a very good point made here. If you're lounging around sunning yourself poolside, and evil strikes/the world's about to end/mankind is about to be possessed by alien egg devices on the back of your neck (hidden under really big 70's shirt collars)/a robot's about to conquer the world/someone's going to rob a bank... always....ALWAYS make sure you put your book down open face and ENSURE there's no way it's going to pop up and lose your place in the book BEFORE you go twirl out of your one-piece into another one-piece and go save the day. I mean, hello - you're planning on defeating the bad guys and ensuring reality as we know it doesn't come to an end, so clearly you're going to want to finish the book!

Holiday with the guys

Quick entry just before bed - here's some pics from Saturday nite with having the guys over for the traditional holiday get together... I'm not sure why the remote thermometer in the background says "chicken" - I was grilling four marinated pork tenderloins and must have not set it by the time I took this picture. The picture shows 24 flat breads rolled out, just waiting to be grilled (that's three batches - wanted to make sure I had enough for me, Brett, Dave, Jay, Randy, Larry, and Larry's boys Kyle and Tyler...)

Brett's cutie butt...

The discussion as to whether or not we should try Brett's sour grape spray "candy" from his stocking stuffers. Brett loves the stuff.

Dave's giving the "heeeeeeell no I ain't trying that sheeee-it" look! ROFL!

Randy's gonna give it a try...

It made him pucker, and it also made his eyes glow!

Jay decides to just snort the stuff. (Ok, not really - that would probably burn your brain cells!)

Larry bustin' a move to the Bangles on the newly purchased Dance Dance Revolution: Universe 2 for the X-Box 360. You go on and walk like an Egyptian with your bad self Larry!

Spectators. And by "spectators" I mean "no way in hell could they be persuaded to set foot on the dance mat!" LOL

Larry dancing with the rest of us watching...
