The first (and probably only) fig from the new tree. OMG was it good. I split it with Sharon since she and Andy are over. She was real skeptical but tried it, and her eyes popped open and she said "oh that's good! "

LOVE figs, especially dried. When fresh, they're hit and miss (unless you have your own tree, I suppose). I'm glad they were a treat!
Awesome! I maintain that one reason to love fall is figs. And Brussels sprouts. And pumpkin. But figs are #1.
Peter - this was a total hit! How could it NOT be when there was SO LITTLE of it? You know if I had a bucketload they would've sucked. ;-)
And Finny - the brussels sprouts are plumping nicely on the plants. I'm waiting for a frost before harvesting them...
