This feels so wrong

I've never blocked before.

I've decided it's time to give it a try and see if I like the results.

So right now I've got two sets of fingerless gloves in warm water with the tiniest bit of detergent and fabric softener. I wasn't sure if there might be issues with color bleeding, so they each get their own separate soak.

And while they're doing that I want to finish the fingerless gloves (Sidetracked pattern on Ravelry) in Madelinetosh Tosh DK (Cherry colorway) for Brett's mom. They just need the last thumb added. Once that's done and the two sets soaking are done, I'll change out the water and soak the pink mitts.

Boy I hope I don't screw this up!

Hi Shirley!

Wow, feels like forever ago when I knit these things... I'm at work right now and the mostly-brown pair is sitting on my desk just a couple feet away from my keyboard, waiting for temps to cool off a bit more. I've found they almost make a good wrist- or forearm-wrest when I've been at the keyboard too long.

I checked my Ravelry entry for each of these, and it looks like I used the same pattern for both:

They're a free pattern if you're on Ravelry, but just in case you're not, I see there's also a link through to this page:

As you can see, they're very simple, which also makes them easy to customize.
