Teenie weenie

Was trying to pick some basil when I realized the zucchini are starting to form.  Look how small these guys are right now.  Give 'em a day or two, and they'll probably be canoe-sized!

I've found that the first zucchini/squash for each plant usually rot and drop off - I don't know if this is a pollination thing, or if perhaps it usually just happens due to damp weather as the plants are starting to produce.  We'll see how these do...that one with the yellow on the end shows where the flower dropped off...but it doesn't look like the kind of yellow implying rot, so that's a good sign.
