First real serving of the edamame, and man were they good! I don't know if the pods should be allowed to get a bit more plump - we'll find out as we continue to harvest and eat them, finding out where that sweet spot is before they get too starchy. And of course I'll have to try blanching and freezing some to enjoy later.
This variety is Butterbean, which I have to admit confused me a little when ordering. Brett loves butter beans, even asking if I could grow them in the home garden. Then I saw this variety of edamame. They're definitely not butter beans - those are as nasty as lima beans. Ick.
