Elephant ears

While some things are growing out of control this warm, wet summer, some things just aren't all that big.  I've got tons of elephant ears growing here and there around the yard, but they're just not as big as they were last year.  I wonder if they'll continue to gain in size through fall, or if this is about as big as they'll get this year.  I'm also wondering how many are going to have baby side shoots.  I had so many more elephant ear plants this year than last, just from splits...
