Green beans to the freezer

With 6 3/4 lbs of green beans now sitting in the freezer, we've decided to give blanching and freezing another try. I'm just doing a portion of the beans at this time... We'll need to plan to use them, even if just in soups.

Great for a winter day's stew!! Have you ever made the classic with ham broth, onion, green beans and potatoes????? EXCELLENT with a loaf of crusty bread hot out of the oven. Double bonus--warms the kitchen and makes it extra cozy!
Darn--that's making me with for winter now!!
