Working from home...

...has it's perks!

Sure, there are complaints of overheating issues at work, and it's warm and SUPER windy here so I can't sit under the umbrella for fear of the umbrella and the table tipping over YET AGAIN...but how often do you get to grill up a burger with two kinds of cheese, mayo, mustard, ketchup, lettuce AND avocado while you're working!?

I hate you.
a. That looks delicious.
b. It was a freaking sauna in here yesterday (and this morning) and you're complaining about the breeze being too strong on your deck.
Oh, how I wish I had Jeph's troubles!

Ok, here's a follow up to that "strong breeze" stuff...

Mid-afternoon I went to check the mail only to find the fake tree on the front porch was blown over. Honest - the only reason that tree is still there is because it's got three baby birds in a nest in it! One bird was sitting on the overturned tree, and one was still tucked in the nest (I had to make sure it was still alive - just spooked I guess). I put the tree back up, moving it closer to the wall to hopefully prevent it from getting knocked over, and chased the bird around until I caught him and put him back in the nest. Bird #3 was found a few hours later, by Doogie, on the side of the house. I'm not sure who scared who more... Bird #3 was caught and put back in the nest - no problem, and the parents seem to have returned.

Even later in the afternoon, I'd been out at the patio table, under the umbrella, reading and had to hop in real quick to go to the bathroom. I heard a loud noise - some crashing or dragging, but couldn't place it. Ran out back to find the table and chairs where I left them, but the umbrella was gone!! I looked up to find some gardening twine, which had been on the table and somewhat wrapped around the umbrella - ON THE ROOF!

Uh oh.

Ran around the house....

The umbrella was on the front sidewalk leading up to the door, with one of the spindles smashed.

So yeah, it was windy! LOL Granted, I'd rather be there than here at work today where it's $*#$ing hooooot and stuffy! You're not kidding Jen!
