Or snooze. On my hand. And the report I'm reviewing. WHILE I'm trying to work! At least I was able to keep him off the legal pad I was writing on. Not so easy to do this kind of stuff with a cat that's fallen asleep on your hand - at least I wasn't at the keyboard!
And then it got nice enough to work outside, so I let the cats come out with me. For the MOST part they stayed out of the fresh dirt laid out in the yard by the landscapers (after they came along in their giant crossbred-bulldozer-and-cheese-grater device that tore out a lot of the bad soil in the yard). I got up at one point and Tucker instantly hopped up in my chair (note the dirt on his paw - he found that fresh dirt!). I've found that when this happens, you just scoot your way into the chair with them. The cat won't stay there for long!
And then when it gets real sunny, the cats usually find their way under the grill. I'm posting these two pics to show that, yes, I'm finally making some headway with this season's pots of herbs and flowers - finally!
Sadly, no pics of the hanging baskets. I should get some so I can show their progress (OR show how fast I can kill them off from neglect!)
Now that we have all the new soil in (and the front yard's been seeded - not sure about the back), aaaaand the baskets are up, I guess it's ok that we're supposed to have about a week or more of dreary rainy weather. That'll be good for the plants to settle in, get the seeds started, etc. NOT good for me working outside, letting the cats out to play, going on walks, catching some rays, or most importantly, GET OUT TO MY GARDEN to get things started... Hm. Oh well - I stalled when I shouldn't have during this last weekend's nice weather. My own fault!
Seriously - MUST come up with something other than cats to blog about!
