Beating Dave to the punch! He's still driving home, and I'm chugging ice cold water - no sugar, no grease, no beef! Man, I'm STUFFED - probably had the equivalent of three burgers (a bunch of halves, a whole, plus nibbles off've Brett's and Dave's burgers). Really good stuff out there! Plus it helped get us out of the house - so less chances of thinking about what a bad week it's been (thanks Dave!)
I think the only disappointment's was probably Brett not liking the beef in one of his burgers, Dave and I not liking a "pizza burger" that Brett got (ew - don't put that combo of stuff on there), the fairly rare half burger I got with mushrooms, swiss, lettuce, tomato and pickle at one place...oh, and not getting lots of pics, particularly of the presumably-gay biker couple, one of which was quite hot! Dave even thinks he got a smile out of the hot one. (So if you're that couple from the National Hamburger Festival in Akon, and you're reading this - har har - add a response and let us know! We need more friends and you guys looked like fun!) Dave did get a pic or two of Brett with his cell phone...so hopefully I'll get to add that soon.
I think my fave burgers were the bbq burger and the chili burger at one place, and the hot wing burger that I got after tasting Dave's (too bad you could only get whole burgers - what a pain). Upon further inspection, Dave and I think the sauce on the wing burgers was actually thousand island dressing mixed with something spicey (red hot sauce?) - add that and a slice of cheese to the burger, and...YUM!
And to see what Dave has us maybe going to next weekend - click here... (Any web developers out there will know what a sin I've just committed with the "click here" link - that's bad, bad, bad! I did it to develop anticipation... ;-)

I so badly wanted a burger tonight, but I think I need to get back to more rigourous exercise before I have one of the Wagyu burgers at Yoshi's. Big and thick (that sounds vaguely pornographic), topped with a wasabi blue cheese and sauteed onions, a big pile of fries on the side. Mmmmmmm.
But no, I had a grilled radicchio salad and grilled salmon instead.
-sigh-
Mmmmm burgers. Mmmmm grilled radicchio. Mmmmm salmon.
I've been tempted to grill burgers real soon - if only for something to put big slabs of tomato on. Fresh ripe tomato goes SOOOO well with the grease/juice from a burger!
Peter - that sounds really good - well, maybe not the wasabi part? Interesting combo!
