Booda...not Buddha. Brett picked up one of these yesterday, in the hopes of getting the cats to stop kicking litter out of the box and along the baseboards behind the water heater and the drain in the utility room (and who knows where else!).
In theory, the cats will finish with their business and gracefully walk down the steps, as if walking on to the stage at the Miss America Pageant, daintily brushing off any remaining litter particles before exiting the device, and never ever again getting litter anywhere other than the litter box.
So far we've noticed both cats like to spring out of the litter area and on to the floor outside, bypassing the steps. Oh, and it seem Moxie thinks it's her party room, because she's been in and out of it playing around for the last 10 minutes! Sometimes popping out, but quickly racing back in for some more fun.
Luckily Tucker's always been pretty meticulous about the litter box activities anyhow. He's always very careful to rub his paws along the rim of the litter box before getting out, and sometimes wiping them on the astroturf mat underneath it as well. It's quite entertaining to watch him actually... He's an incredibly clean cat, never tracking litter out, etc... I wish Notchie would've had the same habits...he was a mess with the litter box. Hopefully Moxie will learn from Tucker.
And how do *I* want to handle the situation? Here...

Moxie - LOL. Sounds like a typical young'un (feline, human, or otherwise) ...
I like cats, but if I ever had another cat it would have to do it's business outside.
What am I talking about? The dogs would torment a cat around here, especially the Jack Russell, who thinks that cats are some sort of food item that needs to be licked like a tootsie-pop.
Anyway, who needs a cat when the JRT is killing mice and voles in the yard all day?
Trust me, a kitten at Moxie's age with her energy? She's give the Jack Russell a run for his money!!!
Does he have a name?
And yeah Dave, she's DEFINITELY got moxie!
