Ok, not really going back that far, but I was just telling Brett tonite how glad I am we took a risk on giving our time to another new comedy, what, three seasons ago??I realize our time isn't' THAT important, but there are so many new shows pushed out at us each season, and this was right after Friends ended, and there was so much skepticism about which shows would fill the gap.
I had to watching How I Met Your Mother because it had Alyson Hannigan, Willow from Buffy. I've loved her in everything I've seen her in - she's just so much fun! On the other hand, I worried I wouldn't like the series because of Neil Patrick Harris - I didn't watch Doogie Howser, and I didn't like him in Starship Troopers.
But we gave it a shot, and I LOOOOOVED it!! This show constantly makes us laugh. And as a bonus, they get fun cameos - like Wesley from Buffy/Angel, Fred from Angel, that-guy-whose-name-no-one-remembers from Buffy, Amara from Firefly, etc...the list goes on... Oh, and as the series has grown, I've grown to love all the characters, even Barney (who Brett and Sharon loved right from the get go - I should've listened to them, hunh?)
So, yay for How I Met Your Mother! Any other fans of the series?
And tonite's episode was one of the best!!!! In addition to the great slappings going around (and hey, looks like we could have four more slaps as the series goes on!), how could you top THIS amazing video by Robin Sparkles from Canada!?!

We usually kill time between HIMYM and Two and a Half Men, but now we're finding we really like the new series, The Class. Good show so far - will report more later, I'm sure!
