I'm so far behind...

Yeah yeah, I know, I haven't blogged in ages! I'm surprised people even come back here, but it never fails - as soon as I post something, it's less than 24hrs before I start getting comments from you wonderful people - I love it! :) It's not so much as a "hey, I'm cool - people come here to see what I have to say"....it's definitely more of a "let's chat about fun, goofy stuff!"

So...
  • I'm finished doing Library web work (worked from home today)
  • got the last of the Christmas lights strung up outside (Brett did all the hard work with the icicles, I just got three strings of lights in the small tree off the front porch)
  • also got the last of the inside lighting done
  • dinner's slow baking in the oven - a couple chops cut from a loin months ago, dug out of the freezer, seasoned with salt and pepper, and dumped in a small baking dish with some slivered garlic cloves, a glog of madeira, and half a jar of tomato cinnamon clove preserves from A Perfect Pear - which I found out about at the Fabulous Food Show - thanks to Peter for planting the seed of an idea for tonite's dinner!
  • Brett's gonna be home late from work - he's already nearly an hour late
  • I've played plenty of World of Warcraft already this week, so it won't hurt me to not fire it right up tonite. I don't suppose any of you folks play also and want to team up sometime!? (C'mon Rich! C'mon c'mon c'mon!!!!!!)
  • Have been skimming the Nigella site and figured I should take a break... We LOVE Nigella Lawson now!! Wondering about her story, I tracked down her site and some interviews, which really just sort of tear out your heart (much like the bad news about James Kim last week...so sad!)
So what's left - just wait for Brett to get home, make sure dinner doesn't overcook, and supervise the kittens after they got fixed yesterday - they're JUST starting to want to play, and they really shouldn't be horsing around so much!

So - will fish some pics off the camera and see what I can post!

The James Kim news was sad too.. And he was so darn close to a fishing cabin ... I hope they find the fool who cut the locks on the gate that was opened at te wrong time of year..
