Took today off to have topsoil and mulch delivered for the big weekend lawn-installation project. The first load (15.48 tons of the 80 we're receiving) just got dropped off. I've a feeling it'll be about an hour before he's back with the next. We also have 10 tons of mulch coming from the same company today.
Gee, it really doesn't look like much out of the truck. He said wait til we're moving it around, especially since it's a little damp.
I'm sure I'll be posting more pics of this today, not to mention of the whole weekend project! The Bobcat arrives tomorrow morning (or, if we're lucky, they'll bring it this evening). And Brett's brother and parents show up tomorrow to help... Blake intends to stay at least one night out here, and Brett's folks' are planning to come both Saturday and Sunday - they're really putting a lot of time, energy and sweat (and hopefully no tears!) into this for us - they're wonderful people!!!
Need to see about getting some bales of hay delivered ASAP. And I also want to get cow manure delivered for the garden beds - still torn on whether I wait til after some grass has come up, or get it dumped back there now. Why add extra to the stuff we have to work around, if I could just get some dumped on the driveway later and then move it back in lighter cart-loads rather than have a heavy truck drive across the newly planted yard.
