The most important picture of the year...

...no, it's not the family together at Christmas.

Nor is it a friend or relative sending the first picture of their baby.

It's not many other things you'd probably imagine.

It's the first BLT of the season!

Ok, perhaps I'm over-exaggerating a tad, and it must not have been TOO important if it took me TWO weeks to post it, but hey, I've been busy! :) Sure was tastey!

I share your enthusiasm... what kind of bread?

That was the Tuscan multigrain bread I LOVE from our local grocery store chain, Giant Eagle. I haven't gotten back into my own bread baking since the move, so I either pick up the multigrain, or get the big, flat sesame semolina loaf from Panera, have it sliced, and then freeze the whole thing. Actually, we finished off a loaf tonite, with sliced grilled chicken, fresh mozzarella, a smear of homemade pesto mayo, and in mine, sliced tomatoes. Need to get more bread!

I used to HATE when mom froze loaves of white bread, but I'm finding some of these breads are great frozen when toasted or used on the panini press.

Another good bread is that pan de campaigne (?) bread from Wegmans - that was one of my first good experiences with artisan style bread and sandwiches. LOVE it! Have recently come across a couple recipes for that bread that I'll have to try...
