It's ALIIIIIIIVE!

Remember when I was wondering if the rumbo seeds I pulled from the year old rotting squash/pumpkin were viable recently? Well, on a whim, I stuck one in one of the potted plants in the kitchen the other day.

Look what popped up two days ago!

By this afternoon it was three times as tall... I went to pluck it out (I will NOT have my kitchen overrun by rumbo vines!), and it snapped off. Oops. I don't figure the plant will put out new leaves at this point. At least I know the seeds are still good!
