after 4 months of calling and complaining they finally came and buried our phone line yesterday. oh yeah - and they chopped thru our cable line. and the neighbor's cable line too! time warner can't come out til tuesday at the earliest. this sucks. so i'm typing this from brett's ipod touch at panera. four days without internet or email or our shows at home. what a pisser.

Somebody at AT&T should die for that. I know, that sounds harsh - but no internet or tv? Yeah, I still think an execution would be in order ...

so explain again why the f*** you have a home phone? it is your curse for trying to stay land locked!!!!
LOL We just had to stop by the Library (work) to check our emails - and no, we're not SO addicted that we had to get our fix. We actually needed to get email/attachments related to the deck we might get built before winter.
And I'm kinda agreeing with you Dave - harsh, but this is ridiculous! It takes 'em over four $*$ing months to bury the cable, and then they chop through TWO HOUSES' WORTH of cable/internet (plus Craig & Lisa next door have internet phone, so that was killed as well!).

Oh man, I'd explode.
I was having some trouble with my internet and cable a while back and during the the LENGTHY phone call to report the outage and get credit for it the CSR asked me if I was interested in having Digital Phone Service bundled with my cable and internet. I was silent for a good thirty seconds and then said:
"Think about it.. My cable and internet has been unreliable or down for days, how would I be having this conversation if you clowns had my phone service too?"
"Explode" is about what I did with the AT&T lady on the phone!
And then a really nice Time Warner guy came out to fix the situation Tuesday afternoon, and even went over to take care of the neighbor's problem (even though they hadn't scheduled an appointment). He was really upset with how the first Time Warner guy handled the situation in a rush last Friday, and assured me he'd be reporting that other employee to their supervisor!
And, yeah, what's with these companies NOT GETTING IT when they're offering you a service you definitely don't want from them WHILE you're bitching 'em out because they've done something so wrong?!
Get a BlackBerry... that helps with the email thing... ohh, wait - red light blinking... gotta go check it...
