Deck work up through yesterday morning

Between our trips out to Chick-Fil-A yesterday (Wednesday) morning, we got a chance to see the progress Todd and the guys had made on the deck Tuesday. Looking good! Here's the small side set of steps - the boards weren't actually trimmed to size or fixed in place at the time of these pics.


We haven't had a chance to ask why they saved the diagonal skirts for later... (I think they're done now).

As I said, these were from early yesterday morning. We came back from Chick-Fil-A and crashed til about 1130am. Woke up to table saws and hammering - Todd and the guys were back out working on the deck and have at least half of the floorboards in place now. I'm sure they made additional progress, but we haven't gone out for a close inspection. I know they were doing a lot of fine detail work on pieces that had to have holes and corners cut out from them when we left around noon yesterday.


They didn't come out and do more work today. We've picked up more hot cocoa, more Frapaccinos, and I have a huge pot of beef with vegetable soup going in the pressure cooker right now - for our dinner, and so Brett can feed the guys tomorrow. Or, if he's out Christmas shopping, hopefully they'll follow instructions I'll leave in a note for them to help themselves. We know they came in and drank all the hot chocolate I left for them yesterday...
