Ok, I know I'm waaaaaaaaaaay behind on posts, both promised ones from the holidays, and more recent stuff. I'll get to it shortly - promise! In the meantime, this one's for Sharon, who I just found out yesterday NEVER watched this classic show. This one clip has so many twirl sequences from all the different seasons of the show - from the WWII episodes to the "modern era" (aka the 70s).
Oh man - that made me DIIIIIIIIZZY watching all of that. I LOVE the swimsuit one! Why didn't they show the skater chick or cowgirl costumes!?
PS: I don't remember any specific from the starting sequences episode, but there's a very good point made here. If you're lounging around sunning yourself poolside, and evil strikes/the world's about to end/mankind is about to be possessed by alien egg devices on the back of your neck (hidden under really big 70's shirt collars)/a robot's about to conquer the world/someone's going to rob a bank... always....ALWAYS make sure you put your book down open face and ENSURE there's no way it's going to pop up and lose your place in the book BEFORE you go twirl out of your one-piece into another one-piece and go save the day. I mean, hello - you're planning on defeating the bad guys and ensuring reality as we know it doesn't come to an end, so clearly you're going to want to finish the book!

You are SO kidding, right? 'Cause not only did we watch, but we did the twirl! You know, just in case we too were an Amazon princess with a cool costume...
OMG, the spinning in the chair - LOL!
Okay...so her regular "outfit" is very revealing and you're just waiting for her nipples to pop out. Yet her swimsuit covers her head to toe including hair? Aren't those supposed to generally be more revealing?
And why does she feel it necessary to keep twirling after she changes. I love how she changed outside a phone booth. She's taunting Superman. "Dude, you need a phone booth, I can change ANYWHERE!"
Mary - no, I have no idea what you're talking about. I'm sure I never ever EVER tried spinning just in case that trick might work for me too! I'm also really darn certain I never EVER chose Wonder Woman's abilities as in the ever popular (for us at least) game of "you have have the super powers of only one super hero at a time" play fights... Nor would I have ever had a string lasso or cardboard bullet proof bracelets.
In my defense I ALSO had cardboard batarangs, a plastic Green Lantern ring and imaginary Hawkman wings. Never had the imaginary Hawkamn hairy chest....hm, wonder why not!? That would've been cool!
Dave - ROFL I know! You know that was an "Oh this is great - it'll bust me out of this trap. But oh shit, what if someone sees me 'cause I can't control this! Oh man, this is a really bad thing with really bad timing...like uncontrollable diarhea!"
Sharon - My God woman, you really never DID watch Wonder Woman, did you!?!?!
Hello - she needed that scuba costume to protect her hair from getting wet (do you have ANY idea what water does to Amazonian hair!? It's worse than afro hair!)
My assumption was that she was always slowing down from the spin after the change took effect? That's a very good question though. Maybe she couldn't actually see the change take place - like she went to her happy place while spinning, just to prevent herself from getting dizzy and throwing up?
And, ROFL on the Superman throwdown! Nice!
@Jeph Wonder Twin powers, activate! Form of a ...
@Dave E. I know! [/Monica Gellar] The spinning chair! I always died a little bit on that one. Was there going to be enough spin to get to the costume?!?
@Sharon Oh, you poor, poor dear! The deprived childhood. So very sad. Sounds like you need a marathon night with Jeph and Linda Carter!
Heading over to Netflix now to load the queue with the Cathy Lee Crosby movie and TV series. *Good times*
I actually never saw the Cathy Lee Crosby one, but I've been aware of it for a long time. I'm almost afraid to watch it - like would it really, really suck!? For one thing, she doesn't LOOK anything like Wonder Woman! And I just remember her from That's Incredible...
PS ROFLMAO re the Wonder Twin powers! Form of...a drip of water! Form of...crabs! (Hey, Zan did water forms, Jayna did animals - they never said it had to be something you'd be proud of!)
