While waiting for mom and dad to show up on their 5hr drive down from NY last Thursday, I kept busy cleaning and prepping some food. I decided to whip up a batch of the super easy, super fast pizza crust from an old issue of Cook's Illustrated magazine, and turned one fourth of the dough into this very plump calzone. After taking this picture I cut it into thirds and decided it needed to bake another 15 min or so, so by the time I ate it the cheeze was all nice and melty and the outside was considerably more golden. Still, this is a good first attempt... You can't even tell that I'd nicely crimped/folded the outer edge of the crust...even though I used an egg-wash to seal it, it all unfurled as it baked. Oh well - TASTED good!

Ohhhhhhhhhh that sounds good! It's like my little pizza bread kinda! But I certainly can't do anything without a recipe like you do. I'm always amazed at how egg whites and brushing makes things golden yummy!
