Down with high fives!

I'm so totally with Ramon (illustrator and co-creator of Butternut Squash, and the guy with black hair/chin-fuzz in the pic below) on for this commentary about high fives (granted, he's not the one saying it in the strip):

I just don't get it. They feel fake. I'm honestly not a fan of the high five, and avoid them as much as possible. I've been known to deny others a high five, and it's not because I'm snubbing them - they just don't feel right to me.

Granted, I'm not a touchy-feely guy.

And I have to add that I think Ramon has added some new level of detail/perspective with this past week's strip - the view of the guys sitting around on the seats, legs spread or crossed, etc.... Ramon's art never ceases to amaze me. That's one reason we hired him last year to do his great character illustrations for the Transitioning to College project here at Kent State... (yes, I made the site!) I've been tempted to pick up JSA Classified for the current storyline just for his artwork - it's just that I've NEVER had an interest in Wildcat, nor the JSA spin-off titles...

Anyhow - DEFINITELY go check out Butternut Squash, the only online comic strip I've ever managed to stick with! Ok, this ends the drool-fest.

PS Wow - I LOVE his Alpha Flight convention badge work! Ok, for real, ending the praise!
