Brett mentioned he heard some lady talking about a limit on rice sales at Sam's Club today. Did a quick Googling, and sure enough, the 20lb bags of Jasmine, Basmati and long grained rices are being rationed - 4 to a person per visit. They mention that many folks buying those bags are trying to save money/stock up because the prices are going up elsewhere, and they're trying to prepare in case of a food shortage.

Man, when we lived in Korea there were limits on, what, coffee, bananas and rice? Nuts during the holidays? I forget what else - cigarettes? All because of the black market, and people taking the goods and selling them off the military bases.
Sounds like there's concern flour and vegetable oil could start getting rationed at some point.
Here it comes - the Apocalypse is upon us! So I'm growing a lot of my own veggies. I wonder if I can trench out parts of the backyard, use water from the pond, and set up some rice paddies? Seriously man - I can't go without my steamed white rice!!!
