Orange, white and purple - the colors of carrot thinnings (just to see how far along the carrots are).
I have to say I've never been fond of the taste of baby carrots - they alway seem less-carroty and more...bitter? I don't know. But I gave all three of these a try, and they were great!
White AND purple - two DIFFERENT colors of pea blooms. What's up with that!? I suppose it could be because there's more than one variety of pea mixed in the same area. Since I had old and new seeds, I stirred in some shelling peas, snow peas and sugar snaps in the the same general area - and many didn't even sprout. Age, or bad weather? Whatever the case, they really took off while we were in Chicago, and I had to add additional support (in the form of downed tree branches) yesterday. By this morning the peas found their new support and were working on smothering them with hugs.
Blue-green - the color of broccoli (being taken over by Vanessa's donated strawberries), and...
...blue-green is also the color of Cabbage White's poop after they've chewed up holes in the leaves. I've been giving them a variety of deaths - pick, drop, step; squish between the folds of a leaf; and cut with scissors - definitely the fastest but equally gross.
Yellow - Ok, I don't think bearded iris are edible, but I couldn't NOT post this picture!
MORE purple - like this not-too-hot (for a change!) radish! Yum!
And finally, red - I picked these four the other day, just before we met Sharon and Andy for dinner. I told them I had a secret surprise dessert in the car, and we each nibbled on a strawberry in the parking lot after dinner! (Yes, I'm weird)
And today? WAY more red -
Yum! And these are only the ones that made it into the house! ;-)

Nice looking crops... you must have gotten the carrots and the radishes in EARLY!
The last photo of the strawberries is especially appealing. Your gardening skills bring some lovely rewards!
OMG i love the first picture - it's GORGEOUS!
Thanks guys! :) Boy, there were lots of new blooms on the peas today - I should've gotten my camera out there. And Sharon - I almost wish I could have gotten a better, more professional looking pic of the carrots - that could almost be a poster (maybe one to celebrate diversity? LOL).
Peter - they TASTE appealing too! ;-)
WOW! Look at all those strawberries! You're up on me now, I only picked one this morning :)
Those carrots look lovely. I might have to try growing those again. The purple ones look fun.
I guess I should clarify for everyone - those carrots were no longer than my index finger - and SUPER skinny. They're just babies still... But boy, when you zoom in like that, it's hard to tell!
Seems a critter has found my strawberries - there were two eaten yesterday. I think it's chipmunks. Not sure if I'm just gonna share with the critters, or consider a mousetrap.
