Oh I don't know that I'd need to see the musical - might ruin the great memories I have of the movie? Like I think it's something I'd prefer in it's pure, untampered form?
Ok, I never saw the movie, but I like this song and when I was a teenager I had Olivia Newton John's record album. It was one of my faves (next to Thriller, of course!). Hopelessly Devoted to You was my MOST favorite on the album! Picture a teenage girl sitting in her room, dreaming of her latest crush and singing along to Hopelessly... LOL
Um, I'll probably regret sharing this, but we had the Grease soundtrack two-album set and, uh, I kinda sang Hopelessly Devoted To You as well. A lot. Perhaps out loud. And perhaps to my parents.
my head is sayin', fool, forget hi-i-m / my heart is sayin', don't let go-o-o ...
LOL
And I certainly didn't have to look that up, so what does that tell you? I also still think it's lamentable that ONJ's best-of CD, "Back to Basics: The Essential Collection 1971-1992" doesn't have "Xanadu" on it - yeah, I own it (as long as we're 'fessin up ...)
I don't have any ONJ CDs, and I don't think I have Grease anymore, but I DO have the Xanadu soundtrack floating around somewhere. SOOOO great with ELO on there - they really make it for me.

Alright, then, I'll admit getting into it too ...
Does this mean you're in for seeing the musical? It's supposed to tour the country next year. (Should probably start saving our f'ing money now!)
