... FROST ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM MIDNIGHT TONIGHT TO 9 AM EDT SUNDAY...
A FROST ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM MIDNIGHT TONIGHT TO 9 AM EDT SUNDAY.
HIGH PRESSURE WILL BUILD EAST ACROSS THE AREA BRINGING DRIER COLDER AIR TO THE REGION TONIGHT. SKIES ARE EXPECTED TO BE MOSTLY CLEAR TONIGHT AND WINDS ARE EXPECTED TO DIMINISH TO LIGHT. THE COMBINATION OF THESE FACTORS WILL ALLOW TEMPERATURES TO DROP DURING THE NIGHT TO THE MIDDLE 30S IN MOST AREAS. THE COLD TEMPERATURES WILL LIKELY CAUSE AREAS OF FROST TO DEVELOP AFTER MIDNIGHT. SOME OF THE COLDER SPOTS COULD DROP TO AROUND FREEZING.
THE IMMEDIATE LAKE SHORE MAY STAY SLIGHTLY WARMER TONIGHT AND ONLY PATCHY FROST IS EXPECTED IN THIS AREA.
A FROST ADVISORY IS ISSUED WHEN FROST IS EXPECTED TO DEVELOP DURING THE GROWING SEASON. THOSE WITH AGRICULTURAL INTERESTS IN THE WARNED AREA ARE ADVISED TO HARVEST OR PROTECT ANY REMAINING TENDER VEGETATION. ALSO... POTTED PLANTS NORMALLY LEFT OUTDOORS SHOULD BE COVERED OR BROUGHT INSIDE AWAY FROM THE COLD.

You will be fine. Your garden will be fine. All is good and shall ever be so.
The garden, and most of the annuals, are toast after last nite. Well, the garden stuff had either been tilled under already, or is stuff that I'm surprised lasted this long (why didn't I pick the last of the green beans yesterday? why why why?!), oooor will be improved by the frost - ie the brussels sprouts and, supposedly, the carrots (which have been a bit off-tasting and shaggy with side roots - I've read that too much nitrogen could've caused that). Looking forward to trying the brussels sprouts soon!
Oh, PS, got lots of other stuff done. Not everything that NEEDED to be done, but a lot...
