There's something wonderful about this time of year! It's a time where you can cut down on how crowded your fridge might be with Cokes, beers, fruit etc because, hello, you can just stick 'em out in the garage!! The only danger is the rare instance where it might get SO cold that you could actually damage the fruits, drinks, etc. I have 10 navel oranges out there right now that I picked up on the weekend with the intention of making an orange marmalade for the first time real soon. Those oranges are feeling REALLY firm right now....but not quite frozen solid.
And as for the Cokes? Well - here's what happens when you pour a can of Coke into a tumbler today:
Insta-slushy! HOW COOL IS THAT!??!
Correction: How COLD is that!?!?
What a wonderful time of year!!
Oh, and just FYI, I spent a number of years growing up in South Carolina and Virginia, and I'm guessing that's where I picked up the habit of referring to most "sodas" or "pops" (argh) as "Coke". How about you - where do you fall on this map?
