I had to stay home to receive the new furniture, and after the guys dropped it off I thought I'd run back to the garden for a super quick check - just to see if anything changed since I was out there yesterday afternoon. Hey, don't laugh - if you have a garden, you know this is what you do!! 'Sides, it'd rained some last nite, and I wanted to check the rain gage. Anyhow...NOTHING measureable in the gage, but WOWZA, check out the veggies!
The first tomato!!! - he's about 3/4 lb!
The first eggplant! (I picked this guy a little small)
The first real harvest of beans! (The six I picked the other day don't count)
The first cucumbers to escape my view and get too big! (That's over 4 lbs of tomatoes!)
I included the with- and without-hand pics to show just how big some of that stuff got!

Hello #1 Tomato!!!
Your cuke is huge. Ha.
Make sure there's plenty of good stuff when we're there in (wow!) a couple of weeks!
I thought my huge cucumber would get some attention... ;-)
Peter - the beans have suddenly decided to start cranking out!!! Now HOPEFULLY because I did some staggered planting of beans around the garden, we can ensure STILL having lots of beans in two weeks. It's hard to know how they'll do. Usually seems like they go strong for a short while, and then you start getting ugly misshapen beans as they peter out. We shall see!
