Thanks! Turns out most of Daisy's symptoms had improved – no more twitching, weird eye blinking, lips pulled back, overheating, panting, wobbly walking, etc, plus the labwork all looked good. The dr noted that whenever she reached for Daisy’s head for a "cranial nerve exam" Daisy seemed to pull back, but I told her Daisy gets her allergy eye drops and sometimes scratches the insides of her ears and needs that treated, so she’s already learned to pull back a little when we reach for her like that – that relieved the dr some.
Now the problem was that Daisy still hadn’t pooped or puked while at the emergency hospital, and they could see on the x-rays that she still had a lot of substance in her belly that really wasn’t moving much. They wanted to keep her overnight, feed her solids this morning, and then see if things start to move through. I guess this is like they won't let a human patient leave a hospital after anything stomach related until after they’ve dropped the kids off at the pool… Soooo Daisy spent another night. Hopefully they'll be calling later this morning saying all is well and that I can go pick her up. Then I just have to time it with work (figure I’ll leave early if needed) and my allergy follow up appt this afternoon…
Yay. Pets are fun. ;-)
On a really positive note, last nite was really peaceful! ;-)
