Oops socks!

These were my "oops I goofed" project when I thought I was starting a second tan-and-mostly-blue sock to match the first one I made, but realized a couple inches in that I'd grabbed the wrong size needle for the second sock. Rather than undo, I kept going and had fun with the colors.

As you can see from the heels, doing pairs of something doesn't come easy for me. Since I was making things up as I went, but trying to maintain some consistency (ie 11 rows of each color) I did ok until I got somewhere complicated like the heel turn. Oh well, I like the slight differences!  (Look closely and you'll see the row count of the tan toe area doesn't match either)

Thanks guys! After starting with the Doeskin Heather (tan) and Mallard (dark blue), and knowing I wouldn't have enough Mallard to complete the *original* pair of socks and these if I went with all Mallard on this pair, I decided to stripe it up...and kinda felt inspired by some print we have in a meeting room at work (I should get the name), plus was sort of doing a lake/beach/grass/sky/sun thing I think? Overthinking it a little, perhaps?
