And then in the second picture here you can see what he enjoys doing after getting wet...find the dead patches in the grass and lay in the dirt to clean himself. Yeah, I don't get it either! What does he think he is? A dog? (And don't judge me for the dead spots - we live in a condo, the grass has been dying ever since we got here, we were told they'd reseed 2+ years ago, and it's supposed to happen real soon now - yay!)
And once a kitty is SORT of clean (but definitely not dried off), what does the kitty do? Wait for the water sprayer again! He gets this "where is it? WHEEEEERE IS IT!??! C'mon! Turn it on!! I NEEEED IT!" look in his eyes when I have the sprayer in hand but am not using it.
Y'know, cat's aren't known to like water, but he totally ok with getting soaked from head to toe when it involves the hose. Great way to cool the cat down on a hot summer day, but right now we're still having a hard time staying in the 70s!
Trust me - I brushed him REALLY well before I let him back in the house - got out as much dirt and wet fur as I could, and then let him take care of the rest. Weather permitting, I'm sure we'll be going through the same routine tomorrow.
