Heroes is Golden!

Hopefully!

NBC's Heroes was nominated for a Golden Globe Award for Best Television Series-Drama on Thursday morning during announcements made by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills.

Heroes' competition will include 24, Big Love, Grey's Anatomy and Lost.

The awards will be presented on Monday, Jan. 15 on NBC.

In addition to the series, Masi Oka of Heroes was nominated for Best Performance by a Supporting Actor in a Television Series-Drama. Oka plays Hiro Nakamura in the first-year show.

YAY HEROES!

Hey, I found it. Someday I may have a web page too. Note, I said *a* web page. :b

I like your cooking stuff. Your shaped cookies looked very nice. Esp the snowflakes. I bought some snowflake cutters from Williams and Sonoma a couple weeks ago. Will be trying them out this weekend.

Got any recipes for delicious finger food?

I found something online (I love allrecipes.com!) called Italian cream cheese pinwheels.

They look simple enough. It appears that I can add other things to it like sweet peppers, meats, other cheeses or even nuts.

If I make some I'll let you know if they are any good.

I plan on making that seven layer taco salad they had at the Spec Coll open house to take to my family Xmas day. Sans beans as that was, for everyone's protection. I'm becoming the hors d'oeuvre specialist at family get togethers.

Anyway, looking forward to more recipes and local restaurant reviews.

Hi Betsy!

Looking forward to hearing how the cookies turn out. Do you think you'll be bringing some in to work? Hey, I shared mine with you! ;-)

Hm, finger food... How about some of the stuff on my old blog? (http://www.jephers.com) Check the recipes section for the tortilla roll ups? Sounds like you're already working towards something like that anyhow.

Also really good - take those multi-colored/flavored tortillas (basil, tomato, wheat, etc), cut them into strips (maybe 1 1/2 inches wide? DON'T measure - just roll across a stack with a pizza cutter!), toss them in a 1 gallon bag with olive oil and maybe some crushed garlic or galic powder, maybe a little chili powder and/or cumin - or whatever tastes you like - and then spread on a pan and broil. WATCH CLOSELY! Don't burn, but make sure they get crisp! People go NUTSO over those things with dips and spreads (hummous, salsa, etc). Mmmm good!

I love seven layer taco salad!

Alison - what is it - four more weeks? How many have we gone without now?? :( I miss them!

I actually had a dream the other nite that D'Anna (Lucy Lawless) the Cylon from Battlestar Galactica found a huge damp cavern FULL of clusters of clones of the Heroes characters, frozen in various action poses. What's that all about!? Too much TV?
