The colors of summer

Yup, it's that time! Finally getting enough cucumbers from the garden that I have to keep up with them.

I don't normally do dill in the cucumbers and onions, but I keep walking by the few plants that volunteered, and when you brush past them, they sure smell good!  So after bringing in the cukes and onions, I went back out and snipped some dill to toss in as well.

Interesting discovery:  Daisy HATES dill.  If I'm working in the kitchen (ie slicing cukes and onions) she's right there at my feet wanting some.  Hold a piece of dill down for her to sniff, and she quickly goes from "mmm food!" to "blech", turns away and actually left the area.  Something to keep in mind for the future!  ;-)
