Ripe jalapenos from the garden. We really haven't enjoyed very many peppers from the garden this year - not doing the CSA, I DRASTICALLY dialed down how many pepper plants I put in, and then some of those didn't do great... The jalapenos, however, did quite well. And then, since I haven't used many of them (never do), they've been ripening on the plant. I definitely think red jalapenos are more attractive than green - such a vibrant color! After getting sliced, these guys went into the freezer to get added to chili or other yummy stuff this winter.
