Now this tree is SUPPOSED to be a red delicious apple. These do NOT look like the dark red Red Delicious apples you see in the grocery store, but 1) it's still early in the season and I bet they'll continue to change color, and 2) I've found that not all Red Delicious are really a dark red color when we pick at the orchard. There are different...strains?...varities?...versions?...of named apples, so they can all have that similar taste and look, but they can also be different.
Or I put the wrong tag on this tree.
