Big thanks to North Coast Dogs!

We got home the other day to find a box on the front doorstep - and wow, what a surprise it was! It was like Christmas came early for Doogie! Turns out Ed and Mari at North Coast Dogs up in Lakewood (part of Cleveland) put together a WONDERFUL care package for Doogie Bowser. This must be what it's like to have a baby shower!? Yay - everyone loves presents! In addition to a ton of treats and food samplers, there was a rubbery hollow strawberry toy that treats can be stuffed into (Ed says this is his dog's favorite toy), a toughly-constructed fabric frisbee or tug toy (we've actually had to have a couple time-outs from this toy - Doogie likes it so much he gets rambunctuous!), and a big box of lessons and games for us to work with with Doogie...so he'll be our Ultimate Puppy!

And how did Doogie feel about the care package? Check out that smile:

Yeah, I think he likes it! ;-)

North Coast Dogs has been a long time freelance client of mine - one of my first, actually, back under former ownership. I was skeptical when Ed bought the business, but only because I'd never met him and didn't know what it'd be like working with someone new. Turns out they've been great to work for, come up with fun new ways to promote their business and to help pet-owners train (and improve their relationships) with their dogs. We're really hoping to get Doogie into one of Ed's classes in the near future - I'm sure Ed can help us with some of Doogie's "hyperactivity" issues. He's a puppy, so we have to expect this, but we also don't really know how to work with him without confusing the issues.

Thanks again Ed and Mari - you're the best!
