Ok, I have to admit - I did NOT want to watch Smallville this season. It was just getting too repetitive, the draaaaaaaawn out on-and-off between Clark and Lana was tired, the interactions between Clark and Lex were tired, etc... But thanks to Kristen Kreuk (Lana) and Michael Rosenbaum (Lex) quitting this season (or at least for the most part), the writers had to change things up, and I think it's been for the better. Sure, I don't love Tess Mercer ("Mercy") as a bad guy, the marriage between Chloe and Jimmy felt rushed, and Clark getting hired on at the Daily Planet seemed like he didn't even need to interview or have resources checked (much less any proof that he can write!?)...but even with all those slight negatives, this season's been pretty good.
They've put an interesting twist on Doomsday (in a human body!?) - AND didn't cheap out on the costume design.
We're getting to see more Green Arrow - and even a peek at some of the Justice League at the very beginning.
And what really drew me to this season most? Well - that episode hasn't even happened yet. Mid-January brings us the Legion of Super-Heroes in Smallville!!
And if you've ever read Legion, you probably know they had a thing for bringing folks back from the dead by standing around them and holding up little lightning rods (don't ask - it's the future!).
I'm really looking forward to this episode, and hope we get to see more of the Legion than just Cosmic Boy, Saturn Girl and Lightning Lad. (Yes, I'm a nerd!)

I might have to watch Smallville for the first time in years just to see that one.
Me too! (And I'm not even a comic book junkie, not even close ... still a nerd, too, though, just in other ways ...)
Even you Dave? I didn't realize you were even watching Smallville!! Nor would I have suspected a LSH appearance might lure you in. Fun!
